Summer Health Tips

Summer has always been fun!

It’s the time of the year again where its best to hangout outdoors with family and friends
and savor the warmth of the sun. However, our skin deserves the right amount of care.
That’s why we’ve come up with the best list of summer health tips for everyone.

Summer Health Tips for a Splendid Summer Time

  • Drink plenty of water:

Of course, we all know that when it gets hot, our bodies require more hydration.
Drinking at least eight to nine glasses of water a day helps the body adjust with
warm weather and prevents the risk for heat stroke. Bored of water? You can add
slices of fruits to taste some flavors.

  • Always apply sunscreen:

Protecting your skin from the harmful UV rays is very important to maintain a
healthy skin. Using sun cream / sunscreen is one way to have bare skin while
having fun under the sun. Make sure to reapply sunscreen every two to three hours
if you’re planning to stay outdoors for a longer period.

  • Your hair needs protection too:

Other than wearing a hat, you can also use anti-dryness shampoo and conditioner.
If you’ll go swimming, use anti-chlorine shampoo and conditioner to help neutralize
the chlorine from your hair. To avoid adding heat and sun damage to your locks,
minimize the use of hairdryers, straighteners and other heating products.

  • Wear protective eye wear:

When outdoors, wear sunglasses that block ultraviolet A and B rays that can help
prevent cataracts, as well as wrinkles around the eyes.

  • Exfoliate:

Dead skin cells tend to accumulate on a faster rate during summer.
For a healthy summer glow, use a loafer for a light scrub or make your own
exfoliating scrub using oatmeal, milk and yoghurt.

  • Add swimming to your exercise regime:

Summer months are the perfect times to get wet! Who wouldn’t want to have fun
while keeping your body healthy? Try front crawl, breaststroke or backstroke to mix
up your cardio workout. A 30-minute session of swimming workout will burn almost
400 calories!

It’s more fun when you’re healthy and protected.

These summer health tips will surely help you achieve and maintain your summer goals year after year. Always remember that summer can be spent outdoors without taking a toll on your health. So, go ahead, follow the tips, bare your skin and have a fabulous summer time!
